Chapters Program Coordinator

You will join our team in empowering students to take action on issues that impact their education, providing them with the resources and mentorship they need to create local change.

As the Chapters Program Coordinator, you will be the leader of Student Voice’s Chapter program. The position will spearhead efforts to establish new chapters, create resources and activities for chapters to engage with and work with existing chapters on grassroots work to improve school policies in their local school.


  • Communicate with students who express an interest in starting a chapter to learn about their school, brief them about the chapters program and assist them in navigating the process of starting a chapter
  • Communicate with administration and teachers to advocate for the Student Voice Chapters when necessary
  • Work with the HR Director to onboard all chapter leaders
  • Support chapter leaders through monthly check-ins to track progress and assistance with logistical problems
  • Organize and host monthly program-wide call with all chapter leaders to gather feedback from chapters to improve efficacy of operations and level of engagement with students and school and local community
  • Develop resources to support chapter leaders in their grassroots work, including news and information about the student voice space, the process of activism and advocacy, etc.


  • A high school or college student with at least 10 hours/week of dedicated work time
  • Experience leading grassroots initiatives
  • Ability to be highly responsive in a remote setting
  • Strong communication and coordinating skills 
  • Experience with Google Drive and Slack
  • Strong organization skills to manage a network of 50+ chapter organizations
  • A positive can-do spirit and passion for grassroots organizing
  • Self-motivation and initiative in growing the chapters program
  • Possesses growth mindset
  • Understanding of intersectional movement building
  • Willingness to learn about and commit to Student Voice’s shared team values
