Today, Student Voice announces a strategic partnership with The Ignite Show through the launch of its first student-produced segment, the Students Ignite Show, intended to be a regular 5-minute highlight of every future episode. The Ignite Show aims to raise awareness and respect for educators and education through amplifying the voices of teachers and parents, and the Students Ignite Show will continue to reach that goal through the voices and actions of k-12 and college students.

The goal is to launch the Students Ignite Show as an extension of The Ignite Show, with an annual calendar of bi-weekly education topics to bring information and ideas from teachers, parents and students to each other and the general public.

This week’s embedded segment of the Students Ignite Show features authentic discussions from Student Voice’s annual education summit, Student Voice Live!, which center around students’ thoughts on classroom preparation for college and beyond. Here, students compare helpful academic experiences to those they found less helpful as well as daily challenges faced along the way.

This first Students Ignite Show marks the beginning of a long-term commitment to include students in the production, consultation and collaboration process with the entire The Ignite Show team.

“Collaborating with Student Voice has been a critical part of our formula to bring students into the education conversation,” said The Ignite Show President and Executive Producer Anne Ostholthoff. “Students are fundamental to what we are trying to achieve, and Student Voice has been tremendous in helping us reach that goal through their professionalism and global reach.”
